Am I eligible to be a volunteer Crisis Counselor?

There are a few minimum requirements for volunteering as Crisis Text Line volunteer Crisis Counselor. You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a US Social Security Number and a current US address (for the background check!). For exceptions to this policy, please click here.
• Complete a background check (more on our policy here)
• Have a computer with a reliable and private internet connection (please note: at this time, we are not able to support mobile devices, including iPads and other tablets!)
