Two-factor authentication helps us protect your account from being accessed by others. We have 3 methods for two-factor authentication:
- SMS-based authentication. This is the most common and most popular option, in which a code is texted to you each time you authenticate.
- Voice-based authentication. This is similar to SMS, except you'll receive a phone call with your code, rather than a text message.
- Web-based authentication. Typically done though the Google Authenticator app, which constantly generates new codes. When you need to login, just open the app (on mobile or desktop) and use the latest code to get logged in.
Most people use SMS-based two-factor authentication, but we recommend using Google Authenticator. Your two-factor authentication by SMS text may not work for many reasons, including:
- Your phone number changed
- You do not have service and can’t receive the notification text
- Your network is filtering the text as spam
To update your phone number and/or your two-factor authentication, please submit a request, and we are happy to reset it for you.
I’m not receiving a code:
You may not be receiving a code for several reasons. Here are the most common:
- Remember to select Send Code in order to receive the authentication code.
- If you are using SMS to authenticate, your service provider may not be able to deliver the text to your phone. Please restart your phone or connect to data and wifi to see if the text comes through. Select Send Code again.
- If you use the Google Authenticator app, you may not be logged in to your app or email account. Please log in and select Send Code one more time.
- Your phone number has changed and we do not have your new number on file. Please submit a request, and we are happy to update it for you.
If you can’t log in for your shift because you’re waiting for a two-factor authentication reset, you will not be penalized.
